An evening of HR Innovation: Build the leaders of your organization
The Udemy for Business team hosts quarterly HR Innovators events to connect HR leaders and professionals at the Bay Area’s best companies, and share best practices for building and maintaining happy teams. This week was the fourth event of the ongoing series, and the biggest event thus far.
More than 200 attendees joined us at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco for drinks and appetizers, networking, and an engaging panel discussion. Guests flew in from around the country to partake in the conversation centered around challenges and solutions for new manager training – a hot topic for high growth companies in today’s modern workplace. According to Bersin by Deloitte, equipping new managers with the essential management skills they need to succeed can help improve business results by more than 21 percent.
Our panelists were Anna Binder, VP, People at MuleSoft, Bob Lehto, Head of HR at DataSift, Carolyn Satenberg, Operations Manager at Mixpanel, Dacia Faison Roe, Design Manager, Learning Experiences at Pandora, and Matt Frassica, Senior Manager, People at PagerDuty. They examined pressing questions around millennials in the workplace, the shift from individual contributors to management, promoting from within versus hiring external managers, innovative approaches to building strong leaders, and more.
Stay tuned for updates on the next HR Innovators event! In the meantime, feel free to reach out to [email protected] to be included on our invite list for future events, or for general product inquiries.
