Second phase of Udemy international pricing
On the heels of announcing our first phase of international pricing updating Udemy’s mobile apps, we’re excited to share that the second phase is here: the introduction of British Pound Sterling.
Now all students in the United Kingdom (as designated by IP address) will see Pounds Sterling as the default currency for Udemy courses on both their desktop and mobile apps. The course price is composed of the converted amount plus local tax. All instructors will also have the option of selecting the price of their course in Pound Sterling. All other students not in the UK will continue to see course prices in US dollars for now.
British Pound Sterling is the first international on-site currency of many to come. International pricing continues to be one of the most requested features on Udemy so we will continue to add new currencies over the next year as our global audience grows.
Be sure to check our Support page for more detailed information and the Teach Hub for Instructor updates on new currencies and revenue reports.
