Enterprise Account Executive

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Enterprise Account Executive to help us grow the government vertical in Australia. This is a remote role, however the successful candidate will be based in Sydney or Canberra with previous success selling into government.

You have:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of closing experience with on-target, government sales experience (SaaS experience preferred)
  • A motivated, over-achieving “hunter and closer” mindset. Someone who flourishes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • A proven track record of selling licenses/products/subscriptions which address the issues and challenges facing government institutions
  • A strong knowledge of the government market, procurement process and dynamics
  • Experience  negotiating business terms with key government decision-makers, senior management and critical executives
  • Ability to work in a rapidly expanding and changing environment
  • Teamwork and good communication skills
  • Previous experience working in the government / public sector with a strong network in Canberra is a must have.

You will

  • Be prospecting, developing, and closing new deals for  Udemy for Business customers in the Federal and State Government sector across Australia
  • Develop and execute on account plans to deliver on revenue goals
  • Create and deliver sales forecasts, updates and share best practices with the rest of Sales
  • Sell the Udemy for Business vision to Government agencies
  • Coordinate and work cross-functionally with Udemy for Business team (Marketing, Product, Customer Success, key executives) to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

In the first month, you will get settled, build relationships, learn about our products and GTM strategy, and build a territory plan for the Government sector.

In the next few months, you will prioritise and build account plans, leverage your network, prospect, discover, demo and develop solutions to help our customers achieve specific outcomes.

You will be reporting to James Della-Porta , Director, Enterprise Sales for APAC.  James is excited to be building a world class sales team in APAC.  Hiring for attitude first, aptitude second, he is excited to invite passionate, driven individuals to join this group to work collaboratively with the team and lay the foundations of excellence in sales acumen, and drive the right behaviours in order to achieve outstanding outcomes for the business and our customers.
