About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced B2B Content Marketing Manager to join our growing content marketing team and move the needle on what we can accomplish together. We produce diverse content assets to drive interest and demand, from thought leadership to webinars to infographics. The Content Marketing Manager will play an instrumental role in helping strategize and execute on our content calendar, while helping us develop new approaches and strategies. The content our team produces directly impacts the growth of our business and is a core function of our go-to-market strategy, so a successful candidate will play a key role on the marketing team. We've experienced tremendous growth over the last few years, and there’s a lot of potential for growth in this role and this company. 

About You

You have a passion for what you do, you’re eager to expand your skills on a fast-moving team,  and you get along well with a wide variety of people. You are ready to play an instrumental role in helping the content team realize our diverse content initiatives and your experience includes generating many types of content—from creative brief to publication. Your solid B2B content marketing experience means you are ready to jump in to help drive the demand gen motor, creating and managing content across the production process. You are an experienced team player, with written and verbal communication skills that are worth boasting about. You have superb and fluid writing skills, strong accountability, and an eye for detail, but can also pivot on a dime. This role follows our hybrid work model and reports to our Head of Content Marketing. The position can be based in any one our geographical office hubs in Denver, Austin, or San Francisco office.

Here's What You'll Be Doing

  • Storytelling. You are a storyteller at heart – you know how to write compelling marketing content to tell that story to the right audience, and you will put that skill to use every day. Nothing too big or too small, from ads to blog posts to full-length ebooks.
  • Producing high-quality, targeted content while understanding how to tailor your work specific to funnel stage, buyer persona, and market segment in support of integrated campaigns. If you don’t have the information you need for this process, you know where to look, who to ask, and how to use what you find in your writing projects.
  • Increasing your reach and hitting some stretch goals in terms of strategic work, diverse formats, breadth and depth of the audience (we are a global team).
  • Planning, generating, and managing the production and publication of high-quality content assets from our content calendar, ensuring that needs, deadlines, reviews, and launch dates are clearly communicated across marketing and beyond.
  • Following our existing processes to keep multiple content projects running simultaneously,  multi-tasking effortlessly and ensuring requirements are met to keep content production on track.
  • Supporting multiple stakeholders across marketing through the delivery of our content strategy, from regional marketing to partner marketing to ABM and events. 
  • Working closely with your content marketing peers to deliver on a cohesive marketing plan in support of Udemy Business.


We’re Excited About You Because You Have

  • A love for delivering delightful experiences through content, natural and fluid writing skills, and at least 4 years of experience writing content that shows off those abilities.
  • 4-5 years of B2B content marketing experience in the SaaS space, including planning, editing, and developing multiple types of content.
  • Experience in long-form content production (ebooks, whitepapers, reports) and blog-writing.
  • Preferred specialization in content production for C-suite or SMB audiences and an understanding of messaging for that audience.
  • A strong bias toward action and the ability to write and produce content that serves the entire sales and marketing funnel.
  • Experience collaborating with design, web dev, brand teams, and others to provide creative direction, scope technical requirements, and review output during content production.
  • Expertise and understanding of SEO best practices to help us hone our approach and drive more traffic. 
  • Experience managing complex projects, meeting deadlines, and handling multiple responsibilities at a time with strong attention to detail. We’re very serious about meeting our commitments!
  • Experience with Marketing Technology tools and systems like Marketo, Google Analytics, Wordpress, and Salesforce, among others.
