About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager for our marketing technology stack, you will oversee the product strategy and execution to drive better engagement and retention of our demand. Your mission will be to enable Udemy to reach, convert, engage, & retain existing and potential users profitably and at scale through existing and new technical initiatives. Success requires a tight and forward-looking relationship with your engineering counterpart, multiple data science, design, and business/marketing stakeholders. You will be responsible for bringing exceptional strategic and analytical skills to define our strategy and in collaboration with engineering partners lead our execution in this highly cross-functional technological area.
As Senior Product Manager for multiple delivery pods such as campaign management system, customer data platform, digital asset management, promotion management, and experimentation, you will drive product strategy across these pods and partner with multiple groups across the organization to innovate and inspire changes to the product, aligning with Udemy’s unique brand promise. We are seeking those with an inquisitive mindset and desire to continuously push to learn more about our adjacent business areas, along with an ability to deliver complex internal products at scale.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Develop and communicate clear roadmaps, priorities, experiments and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences from partner teams to executive levels that is aligned with the company vision, strategy and business goals
- Lead the execution of product ideas into actionable concepts, timelines, projects, customer adoption, success and satisfaction
- Establish and track key metrics and success criteria for product features and offerings pre and post-launch
- Establish a shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
- Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
- Manage multiple products and priorities, scale teams, and ensure your org is effective, healthy and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goals for the team
- Identify and initiate opportunities for new projects or focus areas and builds teams necessary to execute
- Build an in-depth understanding of our B2B and B2C customers, internal users, integrations, platforms, API’s, marketing tools, pricing, and customer acquisition channels
- Through active thought leadership like participating in conferences, forums, best-practice articles, analyst, briefing, and vendor QBRs help build stronger products
- Build executive presentations, crafting messages that lead and influence via persuasion, patience, and energ
We’re excited about you because you have:
- 5+ years of Product Management experience in platforms and marketing technologies
- Strong written, verbal, presentation and communication skills
- Hands-on leadership skills, willing to do whatever it takes to get quality products and features to market on time
- Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively to resolve difficult situations with a proven record of follow-through on assigned tasks
- Strong cross-functional relationship building with high empathy to understand the needs of other businesses and priorities
- Strong business acumen, and demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams to produce results
- Active participant in defining workplace culture, product manager pathways and organizational design
- Great attention to detail but base your strategy on the big picture objectives
- Understand how technology can solve customer problems and can engage in the details with your engineering partners to find simpler solutions
- Comfortable collaborating with local and remote product and engineering teams (San Francisco and Istanbul)
- Ability to communicate performance to marketing team leadership and other stakeholders to promote a shared understanding of performance marketing strategy, ROI, and opportunities
- Experience in leveraging Machine Learning/AI approaches to enable personalized experiences which are contextually relevant
