About the Role

Experience managing and scaling Corporate IT and IT Security is critical as well as experience managing Business/Enterprise Systems.  Experience in a public companySOX environment is also strongly preferred.  

Reporting to the CFO, this candidate will operate as a senior leader who influences the technology strategy and Udemy’s digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide management and oversight of the IT organization including the Corporate IT, IT Security, and Business Systems teams
  • Develop a multi-year strategy and roadmap for IT to anticipate and scale to support and enable a high-growth company. Inclusive of managing future technology debt challenges through partnership and raising awareness of technical dependencies
  • Develops and maintains the IT organization's strategic road map and ensuring the execution of IT capabilities as well as OKR’s and priorities.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with other technical leaders and business executives to develop a keen understanding of business needs and ensuring efficient delivery of IT services to meet those needs.
  • Responsible for overall IT process development, documentation & oversight including user, vendor & company onboarding (provisioning), offboarding (deprovisioning), and end-user support
  • Oversee IT systems, policies, and processes in alignment with SOX and SOC compliance including the implementation and monitoring of IT general controls, segregation of duties, and documentation of controls and testing.
  • Establishes strong vendor relationships and oversees negotiation and administration of vendors, consultants, and service agreements.
  • Responsible for developing and managing the IT security program in coordination with the Head of Information Security.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience in IT and comfort level in a fast moving technology startup experience.
  • Excellent ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop orderly processes to accomplish those goals.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering or related field.
