We’re looking for a rising social media specialist who is enthusiastic, creative and ready to help grow Udemy’s presence on social media. The ideal candidate is tapped into internet culture, knows how to jump on the latest online trends, and can create and engage in innovative ways. This role is for you if you have experience implementing social media programs across a variety of channels, and the flexibility to work across B2B and D2C audiences. You must be a mission-driven, passionate and creative brand storyteller who also knows their way around metrics that drive the engagement journey. You are both a strategist and a flawless executor, who is comfortable working cross-functionally with internal and external teams to drive initiatives forward. As a core member of Udemy’s growing social media team, you will report directly to our Senior Social Media Manager and work closely with the corporate communications, marketing and creative teams.
Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
Support Senior Social Media Manager in implementing an innovative and engaging global social media strategy to complement and enhance the corporate communications and marketing strategy
Write creative copy and adjust voice/tone for various social media platforms, audiences and campaigns
Partner with the creative team to design engaging social media visuals that represent the brand
Creating and maintaining a social media content calendar for all posts. Scheduling and coordinating posts within our social media publishing tool, Sprout Social
Engaging in real-time reactive cultural opportunities across Udemy’s core channels
Measuring and reporting on KPIs such as engagement rates and follower growth across all social media channels; identifying opportunities for growth and improvement
Keeping a close eye on community sentiment, trending content, and strategizing with internal teams for ways Udemy can engage or create quick-turn content to respond
Participate in brainstorms for social media campaigns involving various teams across the company
We’re Excited About You Because You Have
1-3 years of experience in a social media role for a brand or an agency
Experience working across social platforms to include Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
An understanding of social media best practices and data-driven strategy
Demonstrate curiosity and excitement around emerging channels, content trends and engagement techniques. You are always learning!
Experience managing and engaging with communities on social media
Strong oral and written communication skills, with proven abilities in copywriting, proofreading and editing
Strong project management skills, and are organized and detail-oriented
Experience working with project management tools such as Asana is a plus!
Experience working with social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Sprout Social
Experience using graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
An eagerness to learn, grow and show initiative
