About the role
Udemy is a Global company, with our learners and instructors coming from all over the world. The Consumer business is truly international, with the majority of our business and traffic coming from outside of the US. As the International Growth Lead, your role will be to help unearth timely, actionable insights for our key growth markets, prepare and present growth initiatives with accompanying business cases to Content, Marketing and Product teams, with a view to better predict, influence and accelerate growth across our International Markets.
Being able to make compelling growth cases based on data and insights, accompanied by strong cross-functional alignment skills, ability to take initiative and work well in ambiguity, with entrepreneurial and goal-oriented mindset, will be critical for success in this role. Above all, you need to be passionate about improving people’s lives all around the world through continuous skills based learning.
What you'll be doing
Identify high-impact international growth opportunities, build frameworks and tools to assess and prioritize international markets, , and develop business cases, action plans and approaches to drive international growth for the Udemy consumer business
Understand the market landscape, and Udemy’s growth traction, leverage these insights to develop projects for international growth
Contribute as the subject matter for international growth across functions within Udemy consumer business, and support each function by sharing knowledge about key markets
Input into Udemy’s Product/Marketing/Content growth strategy development and ongoing optimisations
Make proactive recommendations to stay ahead of trends, whilst anchoring reactive root cause analysis to understand deviations from plan
We're excited about you because you have:
Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in consulting, e-commerce, retail, or marketing
Experience in an analytical role
Deep knowledge of one or more International Markets/Regions
Good knowledge of Business and Growth Strategy.
Ability to present new avenues of growth and build compelling business cases
Understanding of Growth in Digital Businesses and exposure to digital marketing
Track record of working across organizations, influencing others, and generating alignment. Previous experience as a change agent, raising the profile and importance of their projects/initiatives across the organization
A curiosity for numbers, insights and data. A love of problem solving and the ability to distill a lot of complex information into succinct storylines. You can glean trends by parsing abundant raw data.
Strong influencing and collaboration skills and experience working in an international, highly matrixed organization.
Strong presentation and communication skills
