About the role:
As a member of the Paid Social Team at Udemy, you’ll be at the forefront of Udemy’s global customer acquisition efforts, contributing to Udemy’s mission of improving lives through learning by reaching and inspiring potential new students to learn through our platform.
As Paid Social Marketing Manager, you will own and drive part of our paid social portfolio on Facebook. You will be a key player in the Performance Marketing Team that is critical to the success of the company. The Performance Marketing Team priority is to ensure continuous growth at a global scale by acquiring new users to the platform. To that end, you will manage campaigns on a global scale and across a wide array of campaign types to ensure that all users find the right Udemy courses for them. You will develop strategies to deliver growth and efficiency at scale and be involved in multiple cross-functional initiatives, mainly with the creative team (creative testing) and the decision science team (marketing efficiency).
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, a deep experience in the paid social marketing space, a knack for creative problem solving and who always challenges the status quo by launching new initiatives and tests. We’re looking for someone with great communication skills, who can work seamlessly with cross-functional stakeholders and who has an expert level understanding of the paid social marketing landscape.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Run the day-to-day management of a portfolio of Facebook campaigns including, but not limited to, campaign, ad set and ad creation process and optimization decisions
- Track, report and present campaign performance and channel insights to internal stakeholders
- Conduct your own data analysis to gain insights from the campaign performance, build reporting dashboards leveraging visualization tools or directly querying in SQL
- Audit the account to evaluate experiment opportunities working closely with the Facebook team, set up tests and analyze the results
- Utilize a variety of third-party tools including, but not limited to, Facebook Business Manager and Smartly
- Monitor paid acquisition trends and develop actionable insights for optimization and experimentation and stay up-to-date with best practices in paid social and digital marketing landscape
- Collaborate with the rest of the paid acquisition channels to identify and implement cross-channel initiatives
- Work cross functionally with the creative team to consistently test new creative assets (static, video) to improve performance
- Work cross functionally with other teams like, but not limited to the decision science team, on a series of initiatives to improve paid acquisition efficiency and processes
- Facilitate the strategies and launches of new paid social channels
- Execute and manage seasonal promotional campaigns of your portfolio
We are excited about you because you have:
- 5+ years of experience in performance marketing, mainly in paid social channels.
- Experience using Facebook Ads Manager.
- Experience navigating through large amounts of data and coming up with insights that can help explain channel performance and drive improvements
- Comprehensive understanding of digital marketing and the latest paid social trends
- Understanding of measurement concepts (incrementality, attribution etc.)
- Excellent quantitative, analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, well organized and strong attention to detail
- Proactive, results obsessed and constantly looking for ways to improve how things work
- A passion for online learning, and a desire to create opportunities that will change lives through learning globally
- The ability to tell stories with data
Nice to haves:
- Experience managing large paid social accounts and/or paid social campaigns within the e-commerce ecosystem, maximizing KPIs such as profit and new user revenue
- Experience with data analysis/business intelligence tools as well as proficiency with SQL or strong desire to learn
- Experience using Smartly
- Experience with dynamic product ads
